Location Services
Latitude. Works great on Android and Blackberry, is a bad joke on iPhone. My favorite function is location alerts, but I don't get much use out of it because so few of my friends use Latitude. Mostly, it pings me when gamethyme is nearby for seattledining. If you have an Android or a Blackberry, and know me well enough to be reading this, you should set up Latitude and friend me.

Foursquare. Theoretically, you can use this to meet up with friends that are hanging out someplace. I've gotten this to work precisely once. Mostly, I keep playing withit out of obsessive point-and-badge gathering. It's also kind of neet to see where my friends are "checking in" - it feeds my ever-growing collection of places to try eventually. Kyna and I also tend to use Foursquare to let each other know "where we are" and keep track of places visited in distant cities (like Portland) that might be worth visiting again (e.g. Spints Alehouse and Lone Fir Cemetery).

Gowalla. I've been playing with it for a week. It's a bit more frustrating than foursquare - especially when the AGPS on my phone is off by a couple blocks in the middle of downtown and gowalla won't let me check in. Maybe I just don't get it yet.

Are you using any of these? Something else?

Stiill posting here because I have a permanent LJ account. Otherwise, it probably would have just gone directly into Buzz.
