72 hours with the tourist card
Pictures will follow later. Not many; most of these museums forbid pictures.

  • Statens Museum for Kunst (art museum). Here we rediscovered that Kyna and I both dislike most "modern" art, but we did find a new-to-us artist that we both like: Cornelis Norbertus Gysbrechts. Of course, the entire Trompe-l'œil exhibit was Just Plain Neat.
  • Rosenborg Slot (old summer palace). Only a few rooms were open for display, we actually spent more time prowling the treasury and crown jewels. Many shiny things, ivory from many, many herds of elephants.
  • Amalienborg Slot (current winter palace). rococo interiors, royal costumes, etc.
  • Kunstindustrimuseet The Musem of Neat Stuff. Most unexpecedly interesting. 100s of Japanese tsuba, massive tapestries, huge cabinets from different eras, and so on.
  • Zoologisk have Copenhagen zoo. Much of it reminds me of Woodland Park zoo before all of the 90s remodels, but the more modern parts do have better ranges for the animals. Saw a few animals we wouldn't back home. Increased appreciation for Woodland Park
  • Dansk Jødisk Museum Danish jewish museum. I mostly went for the architecture, but the exhibits were surprisingly intriguing.
  • Teatermuseet Theatre Museum. Lovely costumes and set-pieces on display, along with costumer's sketches, diagrams, promotional posters, and lovely miscellany, all inside the old Royal Theatre.
  • The Wonderful World of Hans Christian Anderson. Token cheese to make sure we feel dirty
