The much-delayed loot post.
Yes, Xmas isn't supposed to be about the loot. It's about people. We've had a lot of Good Times with people lately, so I'm just a bit burnt out and my usual snarky self would probably drift into bitter-old-grouch mode, so I'm not going to talk about all of the lovely times with people over the last few weeks. XmasEve-Xmas-Birthday-Clubbing-RehearsalDinner-Wedding-NewYearsEve were all fun, but I seriously need to recharge in solitude for a while now.

Roomba! Roomba! I loathe vacumuing. I hate even being in the same room as vacuuming. That dustcloud "someone just vacuumed in this room" smell spells suffering (or overdoses on over-the-counter medications) for the next 6-12 hours for me. Not vacuuming delays the suffering - but makes it worse. Vacuuming under furniture is hard. I will now commence attempting to manage these issues with a cute little robot slave. My family knows I've been craving a Roomba for years, but this is still an unexpected luxury.

Bento! I really should be preparing more of my lunches at home, and it's easier for me to obsess than it is for me to do something halfway. Kyna gave me a bento cookbook, and m00t surprised me with a "Mr. Bento"!

Breadmaker. Kyna's been exploring this gift, and already made some cinammon-raisin bread. It's not yet clear whether this will replace Safeway-bread for sandwich purposes. The increased production of preservative-free bread will lead to increased incidence of stale bread, which should lead to increased incidence of bread pudding.

Stylin! My family gave many warm shirts, for our upcoming Copenhagen trip. ladykatryna made the super-awesome 10' "fourth doctor" scarf, and Kyna found a french cuff shirt that fits(!) and a couple pairs of cuff links to go with it (as seen at the wedding).

Carol gave me a breadmaker as well. I might have to get your bread pudding recipe ;)
