Europe trip, part 1
The flight left on time. It touched doen early, but French Efficiency made as wait on the plane an absurdly long time before they brought a staircase out to the plaine. Then they loaded us onto a bus, which drove in circles and took a U-turn before delivering us to customs. The ticketing machine for cross-town trains didn't accept our credit cards, debit cards, or bills, and the change machine was broken. By the time we obtained cross-town tickets from a counter, French Efficiency had made us miss the train to Amsterdam. For added surrealism, a random man played an accordian (really well!) on the way to Nord station.

Inanimate parts of Europe keep hitting Holly's head.

Lunch in Paris - Max and I both tried a pasta with uncooked pork. Yum. Finally made it to Amsterdam last night, and found very, very good ramen. Wandered around today. Taking pictures.

I think I'm more than a little allergic to Amsterdam. I like the weather, but canals seem to imply mildew.

It took 3 internet cafes, 4 information kiosks, 2 hotel staff, and a train station for me to finally find a place where I could get online with my laptop. I just turned in my homework, and downloaded the lectures for Monday and Wednesday. Must study those; I['m taking the midterm shortly after I return home.

Apparently, they are not inanimate! European ninjas just aren't very creative is all.
