Work is buying me a shiny new MacBook. After some changeover, I'm probably going to sell another one of my old iBooks, within the next month or so.

Kat just pointed out that Snakes on a Plane is doing some reshooting to earn an R rating.

I'm pretty much out of my work-related depression slump.

Taking Kyna to the ballet Friday.

Classes start Monday.

Kingdom Hearts 2 on Tuesday. Major rollout that night.

In unrelated news, Windows Vista has been pushed back into 2007. Vista was originally codenamed Longhorm (after a bar in Whistler where prairieflower had a "Surfer on Acid" before we could drag her up the mountain) was originally intended as a minor followup to Windows XP to be delivered in late 2003. They added a bunch of features (like WinFS, MSH, and EFI), pushing out the deadline. Then they restructured and stripped out features (like WinFS, MSH, and EFI), pushing out the deadline.

It's vaugely comforting to see other people struggling from that kind of crap on a much larger scale than I ever have to deal with.

I want my flying car.

Must use my comp time soon.

Yeah there is going to be a huge fallout because of this one. Orginally the code was all off it's own codebase as well but no progress was happening so they parented it off the NT codebase. It is kinda sad they ripped out all these cool feautres but they are still in the works and will be released as seperate components later.

I was a little hesitant about that gondola, wasn't I? Heh. Liquid courage fixes it all, though. :-)

I hadn't thought about that part of the trip in a long time. *hugs* That was fun.
