Didn't sleep well last night.
Allergies pretty much died down within a couple hours after the gamers left, and I'm fine this morning, but the allergy-induced apnea left me in grumpy-zombie-mode today. Fortunately, Kyna is a heavy sleeper and didn't really notice me tossing and turning - she usually doesn't unless I steal all the blankets.

Yesterday, I found myself to be the last one leaving the office, even though I had arrived before 8 AM. This happens far too often. I should probably try to work less hours.

Enjoying Max's new dream game. I think my character may end up as the last one operating at the "this CAN'T be happening" level.

Fading Suns tonight?

I think Clara's head might explode. She's having trouble balancing the weirdness with the fact that Sally and Derek seem to be perfectly OK with the whole situation.

"Dead body in the street? Perfectly normal!"
"There's a squished zombie cop in the bushes who wants me to help him over to my neighbor's house? Hey, no problemo!"

Heh. You are surrounded by people that aren't freaking out about weird stuff, while Justin am focusing more on feeling betrayed by the police that are supposed to protect and serve HIM. Still convinved the whole thing is some sort of prank. Justin already has a problem with Derek's reaction, and he probably would have been confused by Sally's reactions.

Fortunately, I managed to miss the "zombie cop" comedy, which adds to my plausible deniability.

and really, Sally making coffee cake at midnight with my roommates made it that much more surreal.

it'll be a tossup to see whether she'll follow Justin's example, or take a swan dive into what she views as madness (i.e. Derek and Sally).

"Knitting. Yes, let's knit! wonder how fast I could knit a straightjacket?"

Sally is not okay with the situation at all. She's just coping as best she can manage. Put up a face and pretend that everything is just fine.

Of course. She clings to the parts that still make sense, while Justin denies the entire nonsensical mess. I'm curious how he'll react when denial isn't an option for him any more.

*nods* Me too.

This is just holdover from how she coped with her husband's death, which was just to try to keep on going and not to crack from the strain of it.

The number of people on my friends list who didn't sleep well... oy.

Are you allergic to gamers now? ;-)
St. Sean the Amusedseanb on October 25th, 2005 08:04 pm (UTC)
Probably more allergic to stuff on gamers, and I may have forgotten my pill yesterday morning. Kat says she was getting some itchy-eyesness too, but I don't know what overlapping allergies we have.
GryMorgrymor on October 25th, 2005 07:31 pm (UTC)
Or just alergic to gamers with cats? (which would make sense, what with cat alergies)

Derek isn't "Ok" with this, more of a, "Either I'm so crackers that I'm hallucinating other people seeing what I'm seeing or this is somehow real." Add that to a certain personal expectation of BEING crackers after 11 years active duty and a year of rehab (while not in fact, being crackers).

If it's the first option, nothing much matters anymore and for all he knows he is tied up in a hospital somewhere doped up on something. If it's the second option, then it is imperative to figure it out, if figuring it out means helping zombie officers continue their duties, so be it, the alternative is curling up into a little ball and waiting for someone to shoot you in the back of the head.
