Java pavillion
Picking up swag and info. Kyna would kill me if I got a job at Google this year, and so would Lana. The software lead I talked with sounded interested and pointed me at a few openings, but he's probably doing that to a few thousand developers this week.

Having fun, despite the massive crowds. Learning things from the seminars and vendors, meeting people, swapping horror stories and real solutions, as well as sharing snarky comments about the bull we are fed.

If I mention the word "Hibernate", I instantly get an audience. It has a lot of buzz here, despite not making much of a show on the schedule.

Sat through a demo of XFY, still not sure what it is. The guy giving the demo was a spectacular ass that should be doing infomercials on early-morning television. They definitely dumped a lot of money into the conference, but their pitch seemed to be driving away more people than they were bringing in.

Much server stuff, much mobile stuff, very little desktop.

Picked up some interoperability stuff from Microsoft, some Java Web Application Testing tools stuff, and some Sync Services stuff for Mark.

DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!!!
WHAT???!!!! YOU SPOKE WITH WHO???!! DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!!!

Actually, Sean, you've got two things wrong in this post:

1. I'd kill you if you got a job ANYWHERE, not just Google.
2. And it's not just this year that I'd kill you, it's ANY year.
