"Mid-winter party"
Hmmmm. One of my coworkers sent an invite to a "mid-winter party" at her place on the 7th. At first, I thought it was a company thing, but it looks like she's pretty much invited everybody in her address book. Not too surprising, considering that she only moved into the area recently. "There will be music, drinks, desserts and even some dancing for the more adventurous." Not sure if I want to go or not. Not very enthused, but it might be worthwhile. I feel so reluctant to do anything social in the first place, it's sometimes hard to tell which ones really "sound" crappy.

The "guest list" email address domains include healthprolink.com (us), adobe.com, microsoft.com, and abdieldata.com (A Vancouver ASP company), so there's a strong leaning toward technogeekery, which implies things may not be ENTIRELY mundane. On the other hand, it could just be salespeople from all of those companies, which are on my "people to avoid list" - not as high up that list as frat boys and football players, but pretty high..

Sometimes I'm embarrassed to be a salesperson. Puts the kids in shoes, and takes care of the carpayments tho'.

I don't know about you but I havn't been to any party in a great while that involved frat boys or football players...While I still despise them I bumped them down for more probable occurances. I vote don't go...throw your own wither party and invite people you really want.

can't hurt to drop by... if she's new to the area, she'll probably appreciate the support.

you should go... strangers are fun... and if they aren't you can always leave and make up a good story ;)
