Online personals
pullthestars asked me today why I haven't put up any online personals on Nerver or Yahoo or LJ personals communities or whatever.

First, that would constitute Looking for Somebody. I don't think I'm in the right mindset for doing that.

Second, my most recent experience with meeting somebody from online personals was a Bad Experience.

At this stage of my life, if anything is going to happen romantically, it will be through the whimsical machinations of fate.

Yep. That's one of her better qualities.

Well, you know I'm usually in favor of machinations of my friends. Except when it involves redecorating my room in neon orange.

*note to self, take back neon orange paint from hardware store*

It's been done. Remember the flyby Ikea attack?

They meant well, but my sister and I have always had different tastes.

Yes, yes I do.

Still a super-localized Trading Spaces attack could be fun. I saw some dishes the other day that reminded me of you. Black, square, japanese style. Very stylish.

Oh I thought when you said "these are Sean's plates" you meant he already had them.

Just because you can't redecorate Sean's room neon orange doesn't mean you can't redecorate Sean neon orange.

It's like one of my cats told me, "Life is surprise."

I don't have cats to tell me these things, but I do live with Kat.

I think that balances out.

It's like one of my lives once told me ... "Kat is surprise."

Actually, it sorta fits ...

I'm all for Fate on this one. Moira all the way.

Yes. There's no real rush to see what is being spun by them.

*joins you in the line marked "chicken"*

Couldn't pay me enough to seriously put a personal ad anywhere, for soooo many reasons.

You ain't the only one.
St. Sean the Amusedseanb on July 19th, 2003 01:53 am (UTC)
I know.

Still, it's good to have the company.
Mr. Flibble: Excitedcrispengray on July 19th, 2003 10:27 am (UTC)

Even if I were single, I wouldn't do a personal ad.

I agree with the whole "machinations of fate" idea. It's worked out for me so far...

I personally always liked the stupid blind optimism, combined with enough "sure, why the hell not?" to make me actually do soemthing about it.
