Sharon asked some questions
Have you ever listened to a song and wished it was written for/about you? What is it? Alternatively, what song do you identify most strongly with?
No, I haven't.
Honestly, the song I have most identified with over the years is probably Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters".

How about a book that molded you as a child?
I'll give you two, both from Heinlein: "Starship Troopers", and "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress". From these two books, a lot of my early ideas formed about maturity and responsibility and freedom being different aspects of the same core idea.

I'll have to get back to you on the song thing considering I write songs about my boyfriend. It's hard to think of what I can identify with.

A book that really shaped me as a child was the Ramona series of books. Ramona was a bad ass.
As an adult, "She's Come Undone" by Wally Lamb. Has shaped me as a woman. It's amazing that it's by a man.
