TODO (in no particular order)
  1. Escape the office for a lunch break
  2. Finish porting our web application to work with JBoss. There's still a few annoying issues, mostly with Microsoft's JDBC driver.
  3. Learn exactly how HTTPS proxy tunneling works so I can write an implementation
  4. Create a new version of our sync conduit that uses my tunneling implementation. Test-debug-release.
  5. Redo my LJ layout. I got a couple ideas from reading Eric Meyer on CSS
  6. Go see "Finding Nemo", which opens this weekend</li>
  7. Defeat Kraken, restoring Light to the Crystal of Water
  8. Get out to Snoqualmie Falls. Apply much sunblock to my pasty-white skin. Burn anyway.
  9. Finish writing up my character background for Gatekeepers. I told Brian I would do it "over the weekend", so it really should be done. At least my concept has solidified, and I have a character sheet together.
  10. Meet Grandma Islah for lunch sometime. I've been working within a mile of her place for more than a year, and I haven't met her for lunch yet.
  11. Decide whether I want to see "Down With Love".
  12. Come up with a character for howwiblywrong's new game
  13. Repot the Jade plant at home that is strangling itself with it's own roots
  14. Learn JNLP and Java WebStart so I can use them for the trivial dice-rolling program I'm working on

I thought you'd come up with your longbowman?

Re:
That's just a sentance fragment of a concept. There needs to be much, much more fleshing out before I'd even want to try and tackle a character sheet.

Re:
Huh. Okay. For me characters come either whole package or as I play them. The sheet is a best guess representation.

I never get the whole package thing. I usually have to start with a core kernel of a concept, then I have to "evolve" that in my head through a dozen iterations or so before I feel like it grows into a character.

This is a large part of why chargen is so much work for me.

I think we should see "Finding Nemo" on saturday afternoon (matinee) and then go eat at a seafood restaurant for dinner.
Lady Doomlithera on May 29th, 2003 02:57 pm (UTC)
I was thinking of doing that one and Down With Love both on Saturday...

Cause I'm like that.

Strangely, The Italian Job interests me more than Finding Nemo, despite my certainty that I will like Finding Nemo better in the long run.

I think it's the shot on the mountains. That looks beautiful.

Maybe I should just move to Northern Italy.

Re:
Yes, Italian Job is a definite must-see for me, but I'm an Ed Norton junkie.
Lady Doomlithera on May 29th, 2003 03:22 pm (UTC)
That too. Man. Movie crash!

Maybe Saturday will be movie day.
St. Sean the Amused: parkseanb on May 29th, 2003 03:31 pm (UTC)
Yeah, I'd be up for two or three movies Saturday.
Jim: scorpionwarpdragon on May 29th, 2003 04:02 pm (UTC)
I have other plans Saturday afternoon, but can meet y'all for the last one or two and then watch the other ones on Sunday by myself.

*sighs softly* So pretty.
