Thought for today
The universe (he said) offers a paradox too great for the finite mind to grasp. As the living brain cannot conceive of the nonliving brain -- although it may think it can -- the finite cannot grasp the infinite. The prosaic fact of the universe's existence singlehandedly defeats the pragmatist and the cynic.

Any idea when the fifth one will be out (if ever)?

No fricking clue. I'd even forgot that there was supposed to be another one, if that tells you anything.

In the Author's note at the end of Wizard and Glass</i>, SK says that he thinks there are three more to come, two in Roland's world and one almost entirely in ours.

from the article linked:
"First, his new novel about a troop of Pennsylvania state policemen and their relationship with a possessed vintage car, ''From a Buick 8,'' will come out. After that, he says he's got the final three installments of his projected seven-volume fantasy series ''The Dark Tower'' -- the saga of a lone gunslinger named Roland, which he began 33 years ago. Then after that, no more Stephen King books. "

so there's hope.

I really love your thoughts for the day. I like having something for my brain to chew on so early! I always look forward to them... And I read at least that when I don't have time to read all of LJ.
