Real world stuff
Wheee! It's June, and I'd like to make it to the Fremont Summer Solstice Parade this year. I think there's something else going on that day, too.

I really do find taking the bus quite relaxing. I'll probably be doing that on every day that I don't have something planned for immediately after work. Curiously, the most convenient route for me is a Sound Transit route that stops at the Freeway station. I can log out from work at 6, catch a 6:07 bus downstairs, and be home by 6:30-6:40, while my "normal" commute of walking to my car and driving home takes about 45 minutes. Besides, the Sound Transit coaches are nice.

I'm still the only one in this office polite enough to use headphones while listening to music, sometimes 3 of these twerps are playing radios tuned to different stations. I'm glad that I've been promised a private office in the new building on Bel-Red road.

I'm making sure that they write "senior developer" in my job title and job description for hiring me on. If they hire anybody else on, I want the new guy to be assisting me. Also, "senior developer" looks MUCH better on a resume.

While I would love to be "The Allmighty Tallest, Dread Lord of Software", this really doesn't seem to be a good environment for that kind of title. "Developer in Charge" begs the question "in Charge of what?" and implies a subdomain under development. "Development Leader" (more often referred to as "Lead Developer" is already on my resume, and would be included in my duties as "Senior Developer".
