Gaming stuff.
I had a minor epiphany about one of my characters while waiting for the bus this morning. Suddenly, a lot of his actions since the very first gaming session make a LOT more sense to me. I was already enjoying Brian's Marvel game; suddenly all the pieces are falling into place. A pity I have to wait more than a week before the next session.

I have a pretty good idea of what I want to play for Michelle's cyberpunk game, I just don't know yet if it's apropos for the setting (or her plans). I guess I should discuss this with her. I have known from the beginning that I did NOT want to play a hacker/slicer/decker type in a cyberpunk setting.

One of whose characters? Ahh, nevermind.

I'm looking forward to the CP game, too. I just want to know more about the setting she plans to use. I'm assuming CP2020 (Did I loan that one to you, yet, seanb?), but hoping for Synergy (Yeah, right).

I can't do characters until I know at least a little bit about setting. It's just how I am.

She said CP 2020 (which I haven't read yet), but also said to ignore any references to the "Dark City".

"Night City" is the "Default" setting -- Did I loan it to you and you haven't gotten to it, yet? Or have you not read it because I haven't loaned it to you, yet?

If it's CP2020, I'll probably play a Nomad. Mmmmmmm. Nomad Bikes. Mmmmmmmm.

Haven't loaned it to me. I ordered a copy of my own, which is expected to arrive "June 12th to July 3rd".

now I'm curious what the epiphany was :)

If you really want to know I'll discuss it over AIM with you.
Mostly, it's just something that will help me play my character better.

Anne has been sitting in the back of my head and bothering me since we played on Friday. I keep wandering off towards her little corner.

James Three is constantly whispering in my ear.

It's kinda creepy.

Re:
Heh. Masque is typically pretty unassuming and silent.

So is James Three. But he's got some ... odd ... ideas about how I should treat my co-workers and friends. And what various tools that I use daily are for. I'm starting to see telephones and pens and pencils as weapons. It's ... scary.
Lady Doomlithera on June 11th, 2002 12:31 pm (UTC)
Anything can be a weapon if you use it correctly.

Now I finally know why Randall was happy with the team being set up in Seattle when his home and his friends were in Chicago. A lot of the somewhat-off-character decisions made for the sake of keeping a playable game suddenly fit.

Ahhhhh.. That sort of stuff.

Yohan has been quiet of late.

Matthew is at his keyboard, raging.

I wanna play DnD. I have a character. He's all set in my mind. I just need a game, and time to play...
St. Sean the Amused: Shadow daemonseanb on June 11th, 2002 11:57 am (UTC)
I only know of one D&D game coming down the pipeline in this group, and that has a lot of restrictions on the types of characters.
Lady Doomlithera on June 11th, 2002 12:06 pm (UTC)
THere might be one more, but I have a feeling it will be awhile in coming if it ever happens.
Jim: fueganwarpdragon on June 11th, 2002 01:08 pm (UTC)
Most likely I'd go for one that's, you know, here. Where I live and stuff.
St. Sean the Amused: kermitseanb on June 11th, 2002 01:30 pm (UTC)
What? You don't want to drive most of the way to Tacoma for a game?
::gasp::
Jim: karandraswarpdragon on June 11th, 2002 01:57 pm (UTC)
I'd be happy to drive there; it's the driving back that's the killer.
